Fish filleting Baader 221

The small size and high volume characteristic of pelagic fish no longer prevent further processing. A number of semi to fully automatic solutions have been developed for speed processing and packing.
The Baader 221, already in use in South Africa, processes Herring, Mackarel and other similar fishes from +- 17 to 32 cm in total length. The commercial herring cuts , as illustrated here, include ‘single fillet skin on’, ‘single fillet skin off’, ‘butterfly fillet skin on’, ‘piece-cutter’ and vacuum nobbing. 180—300 fish can be processed per minute!
